Missouri casts 82 votes for Obama, six for Clinton

"We cast six votes for Hillary Rodham Clinton and 82 votes for the next president of the United States- Barack Obama," Attorney General Jay Nixon said moments ago as he announced Missouri results during the roll call at the Democratic National Convention.

During the leadup to the results, Nixon proclaimed "the great state of Missouri" as the home of Harry Truman and the home of Claire McCaskill.

It is a shame the Democrats have so tightly scripted the convention that they could not even put the roll call vote, a truly American tradition, anywhere near prime time.
