The Vicky Hartzler Fourth District Congressional campaign is touting an appearance by Tennessee conservative legislator Marsha Blackburn as a sign that the nation believes her opponent, Democratic incumbent Ike Skelton, is vulnerable. From the news release:
The list of top Republicans endorsing and campaigning on behalf of 4th Congressional District candidate Vicky Hartzler continues to grow. Congressman Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, a conservative leader on Capitol Hill, will be the featured speaker at a Wednesday, September 8th Vicky Hartzler fundraising luncheon in Springfield.
U.S. House Republican Leader John Boehner, who is in a good position to become the next Speaker of the House if Republicans win the chamber in November, appeared at a fundraiser on Hartzler's behalf over the weekend in Jefferson City.
Top name appearances on Hartzler's behalf are proof positive that Republicans at the national level are excited about the prospects of winning the 4th District from Ike Skelton, who has faithfully voted the liberal party line 95 percent of the time since Nancy Pelosi became Speaker.

Things could change before tomorrow, but the release indicates Ms. Blackburn, unlike Boehner, will be available to the media.
