(News release)
For the first time ever, a radio station will broadcast live audio and video on Facebook as well as on their radio station and website. KTRS is thrilled to have the honor. "Someday soon, everybody will be broadcasting on Facebook, but for KTRS to lead the way, it's very exciting and we are very proud to say we are the first," says McGraw Milhaven, the host and co-moderator of the debate.
Go to "The Big 550 KTRS" radio fan page, or "The McGraw Show" page on Facebook and click the "Live Political Debate" tab under the profile picture, hit play, and participate in the debate. Viewers will be able to see running commentary from others or add their own comments for everybody to see.
Never before has technology be able to give instant feedback from viewers and watchers of a political debate, and never before has a news organization been able to broadcast both audio and video live on Facebook for the world to see.
Moderating the debate will be Jo Mannies of the St Louis Beacon, and McGraw Milhaven of KTRS Radio, as STLBEACON.ORG and KTRS radio co-sponsor the event. The debate will be carried live on KTRS Radio (550am) and KTRS.com and Facebook. It will be commercial free starting at 9:00am.
The debate will consist of an opening and closing statement by each of the candidates and questions from the moderators as well as responses from the candidates.
A mult box will be provided for members of the media who attend and would like to tap into the audio. Media members and bloggers etc. will be allowed to use audio taken from KTRS radio, KTRS.com, or Facebook as long as proper credit is given.
Thank you for your interest and if you are planning to attend please call Andrew Dowd 314-453-5519 for a head count.
Listen to the radio debate on KTRS, on line at KTRS.com and now for the first time ever, on “The Big 550 KTRS” radio page and/or “The McGraw Show” fan page on Facebook
