They killed him: State of Missouri executes Joseph Paul Franklin

Things are happening fast and furious in Missouri.

Just a few hours after the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated two stays of execution that were issued Tuesday for serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin, Franklin was executed at Bonne Terre:

The execution for white supremacist serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin is complete, a Bonne Terre prison official tells News 4. Prison officials say Franklin was executed at 6:17 a.m. CST.
The execution came less than an hour after the U.S. Supreme Court denied a petition early Wednesday seeking a stay of execution for Franklin.
It was Missouri's first execution in nearly three years.

The question is, why did it take the State thirty plus years to finally kill this slug?
