I saw Mary Byrne and Ed Emery do this same presentation in Raymore. It was a grab-bag of mostly nonsensical objections to the Common Core standards. At one point she was actually suggesting that small schools don't need or want expanded access to broadband internet. Almost nothing was said about the actual content of the Common Core standards.
A local school administrator wrote up his take on the presentation here: http://www.showmeprogress.com/diary/8996/an-education-administrators-thoughts-on-the-common-core
