MODOT issues winter travel advisory for Monday night/Tuesday morning

(From MODOT)

MoDOT/Southwest Winter Travel Advisory:
Monday Night into Tuesday, February 3-4

Winter weather will cause slick conditions and driving delays during Tuesday morning's commute.  Drivers are urged to use extreme caution and allow extra travel time.
Weather Forecast: Rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow are all possible beginning late Monday night through the day on Tuesday.  Temperatures will range from the mid-20s Monday night to the low to mid-30s during the day on Tuesday.
Road Clearing: MoDOT crews will be on the road starting late Monday night ahead of the storm.  Crews will do their best through the day on Tuesday to plow roads.  However, roads will not be clear until the storm passes.
Crews will focus first on the major routes, doing their best to keep roads as passable as possible.  Major roads will not be cleared until the storm moves out of the area.
Crews will plow lesser-traveled roads as time allows. They also will treat hills, curves and intersections with abrasives.  Lesser-traveled roads will not be cleared.
Travel Conditions: Roads will be slick in areas.  Drivers are urged to slow down and expect rapidly changing road conditions. Please allow extra travel time to your destination.
