In his final address to the legislature Wednesday, Secretary of State Jason Kander asked the lawmakers not to "go overboard" with requirements for Voter I.D.
Kander said he had already heard that Republican legislators are planning to go back on a deal they had with Democrats last year to stop a potential filibuster on allow the Voter ID legislation to pass, by adding specific identification needed that would disenfranchise some voters.
Kander noted, "There has never been a case of voter impersonation fraud," in the history of the state.
