Washington Examiner: Billy Long in Trump's "circle of trust"

An article in the Washington Examiner names Seventh District Congressman Billy Long as one of eight members of Congress who are in his "circle of trust" and who are having "surrogate powers" delegated to them:

A former radio talk show host, Rep. Billy Long, R-Mo., considers himself the band's "soothsayer."

"I saw what the American public was saying," Long said. "I was afraid [those in the Republican establishment] were going to try and steal it from Trump. This is the same brain trust that gave us President Dole, President McCain and President Romney."

After seeing the huge crowds Trump was attracting and sensing the country's mood, Long, who never officially endorsed anyone, said he decided early on he would not endorse anyone. Yet he boosted Trump in conversations with people, wrote supportive op-eds and encouraged colleagues to do so.

This man makes my skin crawl and he does not represent me and many in SW Missouri. He is an embarrassment to us. He does not return calls, never answers any question just sends in pre scripted letters. Too busy playing in high stakes poker games and eating out the buffet in Vegas to have time for his voters.

3:59 said it well. On Reliable Sources the discussion centered around the press coverage of Trump and his staff. We can only hope that journalists are invigorated by this new regime and will be able to combat the probable censorship we will be seeing. Maybe not censorship, but more a cover up of the truth and the intimidation of government workers and their ability to provide accurate truths. We could be in for a rough ride on the negative side or else in for ride to "where to now" and the Land of Oz. We as a nation need thoughtful, honest and determined reporters/journalists and can only wish that the Glob would change and thank Turner has this Report. Do not let the lies be the truth.

And we are more than fortunate to have Harvey Hutchinson to keep reminding us on each and every comment section of how great America and Missouri are going to be again. Thank you Harvey because when I look at America and Missouri all I see is the brackish water of the swamp.

We've only had 3 days. For the last 8 years you are correct 9:59, it had been brackish swamp water. Now we can drain, and about half the deadwood slopping at the trough can go home and find a real job

How can we drain that swamp if you people keep sending the likes of Long and Blunt back to Congress Harvey? Hell Boy, those are two real slime dwelling snakes.

If Billy Long is in DJT's "circle of trust", Billy better be watching his back. I would suggest that everyone look up the definition of "narcissistic sociopath". It will scare the heck out of you. We all better educate ourselves on this personality disorder.

If you think a con man like Trump is going to drain the swamp, you are some kind of special stupid Harvey. He is in it for the money and he will scam as much as he can from the public coffers before the general public catches on.

I would appreciate it if we could make our comments and back them up without resorting to namecalling. Thanks.
