With all of the resources at its disposal, the campaign team for Seventh District Congressman Billy Long was unable to determine the occupation for two of its donors.
Tim McGivern, who gave $1,000 to the Long campaign was listed as "information requested" in the campaign finance report filed Friday with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
The Turner Report will provide that information- Tim McGivern is a lobbyist and not just one of your run-of-the-mill lobbyists. Among the clients represented by McGivern's powerhouse D.. C. lobbying firm Ogilvy Government Relations, are AFLAC, American Bankers Association, the American Petroleum Institute, and AT&T.
The campaign also couldn't figure out Brent Delmonte's employer and listed him "information requested" even though Delmonte also gave $1,000. Delmonte is a lobbyist for BGR Government Affairs, a firm that has a client list that includes the American Health Care Association and the governments of the Ukraine, India, and Kurdistan.
McGivern and Delmonte were two of at least nine lobbyists who contributed to the Long campaign during the last three months, according to the FEC report.
The Seventh District Congressman, who was first elected seven years ago with the claim that he was "Fed Up," has spent the last seven years, not only failing to drain the swamp, but continuing month after month, year after year, to soak up all of the excess from that swamp.
Between April 1 and June 30, Long received $9,250 from nine lobbyists and $157,000 from special interest political action committees out of his $254,506 in contributions. More than $50,000 came from PACS or lobbyists representing the pharmaceutical, medical, or insurance fields.
At the conclusion of the reporting period, he had $573,792.77 in his campaign account.
Lobbyists contributing to Long, in addition to McGivern and Delmonte, include the following:

-Terry Paul- Cassidy and Associates, which counts Bayer, Cerner, Intel and MGM Resorts among its clients, $500

-Ryan Long- BGR Government Affairs represents American Health Care Association and the governments of Ukraine, India, and Kurdistant, $500
-Michael Chappell, Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock represents a wide variety of companies, including health care, pharmaceuticals, gambling, and oil, $1,000
-Gregg Hartley, Cloakroom Advisors represents AT&T, Bayer, Cerner, and Expedia, among other clients, $2,500
-Gregg Skall, Womble, Carlisle, Sandridge & Rice, Blackwater, $250

They drained the swamp and then filled the trough.
Billy Long said he was only going to serve for four terms and then give someone else the chance to represent the district. I guess the big money and the easy trips to Las Vegas led to another broken promise.
Billy was a lying piece of work well before he went to Congress.
My husband nor I have ever voted for this sorry excuse for a human being & we never will. We knew what he was like before getting into politics & didn't like him then. He never works for the people of this State, & never will debate an apponent because he knows he dorsn't have to because he can buy his way to keep his seat. Along with the Koch Brothers paying to keep him in office. We no longer have democracy in this country.
He made fun of the emergency alert system when no one else did!
