Freeman CEO offers cautious optimism: We may get over this more quickly than we originally thought

No new COVID-19 cases have been diagnosed at Freeman, CEO Paula Baker said today during a briefing.

The total so far remains at seven, with five of those never having to be hospitalized and one of the other two discharged and recovering at home.

Baker said 142 people contacted the call-in center Monday.

She shared the good news that the peak period for COVID-19, originally expected to be toward the end of May is now expected to be April 19, meaning "we may get over this more quickly than we originally thought."

Baker said Freeman officials have set up a mini-grocery store for employees, as well as having quick meals for them, good meals that "only have to be heated."
