Missouri reports 21 COVID-19 deaths, 189 new cases in 24-hour period

An additional 21 deaths were added to Missouri's COVID-19 toll over a 24-hour period, according to statistics released Tuesday afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The deaths raised the state's total to 840. An additional 189 cases were confirmed increasing the number to 14,913.

Of the 21 deaths, 14 were recorded in St. Louis County, which leads the state with 478, followed by the City of St. Louis with 132, St. Charles County 60, Kansas City 28, Jackson County 22, Franklin County and Jefferson County 18 apiece and Scott County 10.
