Missouri records 561 COVID-19 cases, largest 24-hour total to date, seven deaths

Missouri's COVID-19 count increased to 19,421 with 561 confirmed in a 24-hour period, according to statistics released Thursday afternoon by the Department of Health and Senior Services.

The number of new cases was the largest one-day total in the state to date.








Seven more deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 982 with three of the deaths occurring in St. Louis County, which leads the state with 557, followed by the city of St. Louis with 151, St. Charles County 73, Kansas City 31, Jackson County 23, Jefferson County 19, Franklin County 18 and Scott County 11.
