Jason Weaver named principal at Dover Hill Elementary

The Joplin R-8 School District has named Jason Weaver, currently principal at Jefferson Elementary to be principal at the new Dover Hill Elementary.

Weaver has been with the Joplin R-8 School District for 21 years, beginning as a seventh-grade teacher at South Middle School in 2002.

Weaver served four years as assistant principal at East Middle School before taking the position at Jefferson, where he has been the last six years.

Shelby Frakes, who has been with the district for 12 years, will serve as assistant principal.
