Ben Baker on KZRG: It's tough to be a white guy

Rep. Ben Baker, R-Neosho, set his sights on diversity programs during his appearance on KZRG Morning Newswatch today and by the time he was finished, listeners probably thought he was going to announce a telethon for white workers who are losing their jobs because of these "woke" programs.

Baker was particularly incensed by the Department of Natural Resources' recent posting for a new "diversity, inclusion and belonging director."

Baker's response to that seemed to indicate that diversity is not only woke, whatever the heck that is, but is also a threat to the existence of our nation.

"It's leading to a less competent workforce in many situations," Baker said. "It's not competency any more; it's the woke agenda that has crept into everything."

Not only is diversity not a good thing, Baker explained, but "it's causing more discrimination in hiring. That's what's really happening."

It's so bad, Baker said, it's getting where you can't find a good white doctor any more.

"If you're a white male, it's almost impossible to get into a medical school in this state."

It doesn't matter how well a white male does academically, Baker said, indicating the fix was in.

This could lead to disastrous circumstances, Baker hinted, if it reaches the point where there are less white doctors and more of those who are generally sought in diversity programs- women and members of minority groups.

"Society is losing its mind over these woke ideas that I believe further divide us, and also lead to a less competent workforce.

"Imagine if an airplane pilot is chosen because of his skin color or what gender they identify as rather than competency."

Not for one second did Baker entertain the possibility that women, people of color, and people whose sexual preference doesn't meet with Baker's approval could possibly be competent enough to fly an airplane.

"In many cases," Baker said, "they're lowering the standards for academics."

Baker said the legislature should eliminate funding for state diversity programs.

I have 3 family members in medical school in Missouri. Two white males and one very genius white female.

Might be the only time I agree with Ben Baker. Sounds like a new $75,000 a year job created without house or senate approval

Your skin color, what's between your legs, or how you use what is between your legs ARE NOT AND SHOULD NEVER BE qualifiers for merit based employment or college admission.

Minds like Ben Baker's don't make their way to the state legislature in a meritocracy. He's a living example of undue privilege. Crying while overrepresented has fragile, white snowflake energy. This guy can't even read proposals he allegedly wrote but wants us to think he overcame oppression to "achieve" his office, which he believes is a tactical cosplay role.

The department of natural resources supports the most publicly facing programs in our state. Public/state parks need to be accessible and inclusive for ALL Missourians especially those who are differently abled, in wheelchairs, blind, etc. We need someone who thinks about and is able to accommodate ALL Missourians.

Never fear, there is always room in the Missouri state legislature for those white men would couldn't make it as a doctor or pilot.

Let's just put it on the table: Baker is flirting with with the same ideology and terminology as Hitler and is savy enough to get the bucket of deplorables to follow. Make no mistake, he's a trump clone hiding behind his religion. He has voiced his opposition to any group of people not white and male, with the exception of his desire to keep white women at home behind the stove and ready to service WHITE male bedroom needs. Baker is trying to align with DeSatan as the trump train is running out of steam and has to find the next societal threat to the white man, (drag queens, gay men, anyone of color, etc, etc). Baker is a threat to our freedoms (except to you gun loving freaks), and to the well-being and future of our children. He must be removed through the power of our vote.

Ben Baker, a graduate and former dean of students at Ozark Bible Institute, and a former mayor and councilmember in Neosho, Missouri feels that it's tough to be a white guy!

Go figure!!!!

He needs to do some research before he starts spewing out at the mouth. Evidently, he is not “woke”!

Maybe if he had not received his BA, Biblical Literature, Ozark Bible Institute (1999-2004), and attended Community Christian Academy (1988-1999), he might find it easier to get into a medical school!

And regarding Diversity, Equality and Inclusion, here are just a few facts from https://www.zippia.com/doctor-jobs/demographics/

Gender Ratio
Male - 46%
Female - 54%

Percentage by Race
White - 62%
Asian - 18.6%
Latino - 9.5%
Black/African American - 5.1%

Average Age
48.2

Average Salary
$208,582

Gender Pay Gap for Doctor
Women earn .85 for every $1 earned by men

Sexual Orientation
13% of all doctors are LGBT
IT AINT EASY!

Well we'll..seems like another racist/bigot has come out of hiding. Voters..we can do without him! Period!

Can Baker back up his asinine claims with some data? Nah. And besides, he knows he doesn’t need to - his voters will buy his nonsense with a fact check, drawn into yet another culture war over something that just isn’t happening.

And I can’t fathom how a guy who attended a K-12 “Christian” homeschool in some basement in Indiana is somehow an expert on what goes on in colleges but here we are. His silly little degree from his culty “college” isn’t even real as OBI is not accredited.

Baker needs to go back to inflating his credentials (both from OBI and as a business owner, as his “business” isn’t registered with the SOS) and blowing campaign cash on guns.

Nor should they be detractors. That's kind of the point.

The word "woke" has replaced the white hood. Those poor white men. How will they ever succeed when there is equal opportunity for everyone.
