Joplin woman, on probation for felony possession charge, arrested for heroin possession

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a Joplin woman for possession of heroin today in Pulaski County.

The arrest came after a Pulaski County judge sentenced Devonda D. Davis, 30, to seven years in a prison on a felony possession charge in 2020 then suspended the sentenced and placed her on supervised probation for five years.

Davis had been arrested May 10, 2019 by the Waynesville Police Department, according to online Pulaski County Circuit Court records.

The records indicate Davis has had a difficult time following the terms of her probation. At least six times she was cited for a probation violation, five motions for probation revocation were filed and

Davis' most recent arrest came at 8:55 today. In addition to felony possession, she was cited for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while suspended or revoked, not having valid insurance and failure to display valid plates.

Court records indicate Davis moved to Joplin from St. Robert in 2022.
