(From the City of Joplin)By order of Joplin Mayor Doug Lawson, all flags at City of Joplin facilities will be flown at half-staff starting today, March 8 until sunset March 15, 2023, in honor of Joplin Police Corporal Ben Cooper and Joplin Police Officer Jake Reed who died in the line of duty.
Memorials have been set as follows and will be live-streamed on the Joplin Police Department Facebook page.

Saluting these Brave Men who Died in the Line of Duty, Protecting the Public - May their Family and Friends find solace in their Memories of these Men.
When I hear of Judges / Prosecuting Attorneys / or Jurors - who are Soft on Criminals - I think of how many of these Violent and Persistent Criminals who are let out of Jail or given a Hand Slap only to commit more Crimes on the Public - because they feel Sorry for or think they can be Rehabilitated - which the Sad Truth the Majority of Criminals Re-Offend -
Let's Stop Feeling Sorry for the Criminals and Start Feeling Sorry for Their Victims.
