A September 5 trial date has been set in Jasper County Circuit Court for a former Golden City High School teacher facing a felony charge of sex with a student.
The trial is expected to last three days and will be presided over by Judge Dean Dankelson. A pre-trial conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. May 1.
Jacey Stahl, 23, who was a full-time substitute teacher at Golden City, was charged following a joint investigation by the Jasper County and Barton County sheriff's offices.
Though the Golden City school is in Barton County, Stahl had allegedly had sex with the boy at his home, which is located in Jasper County, in February 2021, according to the probable cause statement.
Stahl, a former Lamar resident, currently lives in Aldrich, according to online court records. She is represented by Springfield attorney Erica Lynn Mynarich.
