(From the Joplin Police Department)This is a reminder that there will be a memorial service to honor Police Officer Jake Reed on Saturday, March 11th at 10:00 am at the Public Safety Training Facility at 5102 Swede Lane, Webb City, Missouri.
In his final act of service following the shooting on March 8th, 2022, Officer Jake Reed gave his organs on March 11th, 2022 so others could live.
The Joplin Police Department will honor Jake and the sacrifice he made for the city and the citizens of Joplin.
The event is open to the public and attendance is encouraged. We will also be live-streaming the event on our Facebook page starting at 10:00 am.
