Gingrich blasts relationship between Congress, lobbyists

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, appearing of CBS' Face the Nation Sunday, said PAC fundraisers should be banned while Congress is in session, and the relationship between legislators and lobbyists should be re-examined. He also suggested putting information on the House website about which lobbyists are buying gifts and meals for which representative.

You know, if I thought he was actually being honest and forthright about his goals in this, I would support him.

But then I consider Gingrich's legislative and personal track record and what his Contract on America did and I just can't trust him; especially when there is already talk about him being a candidate for President in the next election.
