“We are calling on candidates for public office in Missouri to reject contributions from Mr. Sinqefield’s political action committees,” says Education Roundtable chairman Robin Krause, a school board member from Knob Noster. “Mr. Sinquefield is attempting to buy candidates through massive campaign contributions that violate the spirit of contribution limits in Missouri.”
The Roundtable’s members include:
–the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals;
–the Missouri Association of School Administrators;
–the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals;
–the Missouri PTA;
–the American Federation of Teachers – Missouri;
–the Missouri National Education Association;
–the Missouri School Boards’ Association;
–the Missouri State Teachers Association.
“This attempt to buy public policy in our state should outrage Missourians,” says Krause. “There is no reason Rex Sinquefield should be able to buy the legislation he wants simply because he has millions of dollars to contribute to candidates’ campaigns.”

Education groups ask candidates to return Sinquefield money
Missouri education groups have asked candidates to return contributions from retired billionaire and pro-voucher activist Rex Sinquefield, according to St. Louis Post-Dispatch Political Fix:

I don't agree---they should not have to return the money. Politiicans all over the place have been accepting money from PACs. It is legal and should be accepted.
The groups listed are also not always really about students-- They sometimes have other motives. Their motives behind pressure to return the moeny should be analyzied too.
Who received money from these groups? Was Koster the only one?
Yes - we should all listen to groups who use public money to politic bash a private citizen who uses his own money.
Don't think so. Sinquefield has as much right to do what he is doing as these groups at the public trough do.
Unlimited contributions should be legislated back into existence. The wealthy have as much right to buy politicians as anyone else. If they have the ability to throw more money to a politician than the average "Joe", then they should be "free", as in "freedom" to do so. We should all support anybody who has the patriotism to donate large sums of money to politicians. Only when wealthy individuals and corporations merge with government will we all be truly free. Fox news and Rush just came on, gotta to.
