A big thank you to the Friends of the Grove Public Library for inviting me to speak at the library Thursday.
I had an opportunity to tell them a few of the stories from my latest book, The Turner Report, as well as go into the background of the real story on which my first novel, Small Town News, was based.
It was also great to see Lou Nell Bath, the editor who hired me to be the Lamar Democrat's sports editor 30 years ago.
