More $10,000 contributions for governor-elect

Jay Nixon will not be sworn into office until next week, but the governor-elect is already piling up contributions for his 2012 reelection campaign.

A 48-hour report filed Friday with the Missouri Ethics Commission shows Nixon received $10,000 contributions from Pfizer, Inc., New York; and the Thompson Coburn Law Firm, St. Louis. The contributions were made on the final day of 2008, according to the report.

As noted in the Dec. 31 Turner Report, Nixon also received a pair of $10,000 contributions Dec. 29, courtesy of the Missouri Hospital Association and J. E. Dunn Construction Company, Kansas City.
