I'm still waiting for a local reporter who understands Common Core
As you can tell from the headline, I am not exactly thrilled with the accompanying report from KOLR in Springfield about Common Core Standards.
When you hear the words 21st Century learning and heaven help us, rigor, used by the reporter, it is obvious he has been swallowed up in educational jargon. Thankfully, I did not use the phrase "best practices" or I would have had to have reached for the Pepto-Bismol.
Not everything about Common Core is objectionable, but when you see a report that does not even mention that there are serious objections to Common Core, you know that the reporter has not done one bit of research.
