I think this was probably the best outcome for our country. When I saw the Trump supporter at a rally last night scream "Assassinate the B---h" to the roar of the crowd, I realized that had the Democrats won, violence was a very real possibility. A peaceful transition of power was in jeopardy. Hopefully, we can now move forward peacefully. The government, both nationally and among the majority of states are now under complete Republican control. I congratulate the Republicans, but also hope they can recognize that they now have to govern. Blaming the "Demo-Rats", Obama, Clinton et al will no longer be an excuse for not governing. Congrats, too, to the frequent commentator who loves to hurl insults and name call Democrats. You can now be a gracious winner and stand down.

When a major party runs a candidate who says, in so many words, that half the nation needs reeducation and half liquidation (in the latter case, us "irredeemable" "deplorables" who "are not America"), and who employed a firm who's leaders bragged about paying people to cause actual, real violence at the other candidates events, including shutting down one, and acknowledges the truth of the video capturing that by immediately firing them, yes, you can be very sure violence was a real possibility. We're not a people who can be verbally and physically assaulted without consequences.

Maybe next time you can nominate a candidate who can at least pretend to want to be President for all Americans?

Oops, made an editing error, it's half the nation in two "baskets" (which just by itself, this language in dividing the people, is rather chilling), so substitute "quarter" for "half" in the sentence above.

10:44 AM: There's not an ounce of grace or class in the Clintons, so such a tone is all but unavoidable.

And I assume you aren't in her quarter of the nation that needs liquidation? When she chose to make it personal and existential, do you expect people like me to be nice, wilting, "please don't call me names" Republican cuckservative types? Sorry, no sale, that's a large part of why Trump won, he was the first Republican presidential candidate since Reagan to call BS on all that.

You cannot base anything on the actions of the few. America has hope now, I'm very happy Trump won!
