Carl Junction Police: Contrary to rumor, we're not stopping people and allowing them to only go to four places

I've been contacted by two different sources saying there is a rumor on social media about Carl Junction Officers stopping people and asking where they are going and there is only 4 destinations we are accepting. This is absolutely false.

We are not stopping people on the street, nor in cars for adherence to the stay at home order.

There are lots of different reasons for vehicle stops, We are still enforcing traffic laws, including moving and registration issues.

All car stops and interactions with the public are on body camera and car camera. If anyone has a complaint, we can pull those stops.
