Five COVID-19 deaths in Missouri in last 24 hours, 290 new cases confirmed

Five people died from COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, according to data posted about an hour ago by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

Fifty-eight people have died after contracting the virus and 3,327 cases have been confirmed, an increase from 290 a day earlier.

No deaths have been attributed to COVID-19 in the Joplin area counties.
