Joplin High School Principal Steve Gilbreth and 10th Grade Principal Kirk Harryman provided updates today on a number of topics, including cap and gown pickup, summer school, medication pickup and final assignments for the spring semester.
A curbside cap and gown pickup is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, with seniors whose last names begin with the letters A to M from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and seniors whose last names begin with the letters N to Z going from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
Harryman said the district will be having summer school though it is uncertain if the students will be attending in person or if virtual classes will be held. Information about enrollment will be shared soon.
Gilbreth said the final new spring semester assignments will be issued May 4 with May 15 being the last day teachers will accept work.
Times for curbside pickups for materials from athletic and P. E. lockers and student medication from the school nurses were also addressed in the video, as well as times when the school's tech support employees will be available for students having difficulties with their computers.
