Freeman Health has had eight positive COVID-19 tests with two admitted to the hospital, CEO Paula Baker said during today's briefing.
The other six remain in their homes.
Baker said 124 people called in to request a test and after screening, four were referred for testing. Those tests will take place Thursday.
During the briefing, Dr. Robert McNabb, Freeman vice president of medical education, explained how COVID-19 patients are kept separate from other patients and how the ventilation system used in that area keeps the virus from spreading into other sections of the hospital.
