SW MO Democrats- Call Parson, Gary Shaw, demand stay-at-home orders

(From Southwest Missouri Democrats)

Speak Out -- Call Governor Parson TODAY at 573-751-3222. Issue #StayAtHome order.

Freedom is a word often used to argue against this measure. Let the Governor know that you understand this COVID19 situation we face, will require us to give up some individual freedom of movement within communal spaces, to protect our communities, collective life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

Let him know that it is his responsibility to lead. Leadership means he must deliver a clear message to Missouri citizens, about the measures we must take now, to protect public health.

Ask him to protect Missourians Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness by issuing a #StayAtHome order for Missouri.

He should further act now, by instructing our legislature to pass #VoteByMail statewide practices, to protect our vote in June (City Election), Aug (State Primary), and November (Presidential and Statewide Election).

If you live in Joplin or the surrounding area please also call Mayor Gary Shaw in Joplin to ask him to issue a #StayAtHome order for the City of Joplin.

Call him at (417) 438-1919 as listed in a phone number search for Mayor of Joplin on the City of Joplin Website.

Has Congressman Billy Long weighed in on the demands for a stay-at-home order?

Democrats:
Donald Trump and all Republicans are literally Hitler. They are trying to take away all of our rights!!
Also Democrats: We have to suspend the Constitution at the local level because people don't have common sense!
All joking aside, if it's this easy to take away your rights, why should you pick and choose which ones are taken? This emergency Socialism trial run isn't sitting well with me.
If you are willing to give up some of your rights in exchange for a little bit of safety, you deserve neither.

The same was said for requiring car manufacturers to put seatbelts and safety glass in cars.

Not to mention removing lead from gasoline and paint gave the right wing a bad case of the vapors!

You are equating regulations with rights. Driving is not a right, it's a privilege, it can be taken away. The government telling you that you can't leave your house or go to work to provide for your family is a totally different animal. I'm not OK with it under any party control. If you are, great. Use the right that you still have to petition the government. Better hurry though.
