The Springfield-Greene County Health Department is heartbroken to announce the death of a Greene County resident from COVID-19. The seventh death is a man in his 60s who was immunocompromised. The Health Department extends our condolences to his loved ones.
Additionally, the Health Department is notifying the public of two potential exposures from COVID-19 positive individuals.
One of our recent positive cases visited the Lowe’s in Republic on March 25 in the afternoon while contagious.
Another case shopped at the Walmart Supercenter at Kearney and Glenstone on Friday, March 27 around 7:30 a.m. while symptomatic.
This is an important reminder that we should all be staying at home as much as possible. When we do go out for essential functions, we should be interacting with our environment as if the people around us are sick—or better yet, we should be operating during this time as if we might be sick.
