April 1- The Newton County Health Department wants to announce another case of confirmed COVID-19. This brings the total for the county to six.
This case is travel related and has been in isolation. Their household contacts are also self quarantined.
In addition, we are also happy to announce that three of the reported cases have recovered and have been released from isolation.
Please continue to practice current guidelines of social distancing and staying home unless you have to go out for supplies or food.
Protect yourself by practicing frequent hand washing and cleaning frequently used surfaces throughout the day.
If you are sick, please stay home unless seeking medical attention and remember to call ahead. All of us have a part in protecting our community. Stay safe and healthy!!
