Even after he resigned under fire as governor, Eric Greitens never closed his campaign committee and in a filing posted today indicated he will seek statewide office in 2024.
In his April report, Greitens reported receiving $26,499.65 and he has $437,936.28 in his account.
The filing does not necessarily mean Greitens will run for office. By indicating a plan to run for office, he is able to keep his campaign committee in business and have access to the money it has raised and to raise more money.
In April, Greitens reported spending more than $200,000 for a number of purposes including payroll, legal fees, a settlement of his issues with the Missouri Ethics Commission and travel, much within the state, but also multiple trips to New York during the first three months of 2020.

No, thanks.
The sound you hear is the screaming of MO Republicans. Just when they thought he'd been put in the past...
Multiple trips to New York, in connection with his campaign? What nefarious scheme could that be about?
Donald Trump needs all the help he can get!
Anonymous 8:43 did you even read the story? Or are you having a comprehension issue. 2024 is after Trump leaves office. Not sure how you tied that together. BTW I hope Greitens runs and gets beat badly. He embarrassed the state once and doesn't need to again.
I hope that the auditor of the state watches how he spends that money left. No good comes from the crooks we have seen go through the political process. Are we going to get mail in ballots like Iowa where the turnout is one of the best versus having a measly 12-20 % vote? We need to see 60% and more participate, please Americans vote and make it count and be heard what you want versus what they feed you.
BUSTED!
In January 2019, the Navy found itself in a tough spot.
Former Navy SEAL and Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens wanted to be reinstated to military service. He hadn’t applied yet, but the Navy had received word the request was coming.
The problem was neither the SEALs nor the Navy wanted him back, documents newly obtained by The Star show.
Greitens had been charged with a felony in 2018 connected to allegations of violent sexual misconduct. Though the charge was ultimately dropped, the Navy wasn’t ready to welcome the former governor back at a time when the military was facing intense criticism over its response to sexual assault in its ranks.
It was after the intervention of Vice President Mike Pence’s office that Greitens was allowed to return as a reservist, the documents show.
The experience forced a wider look within the Navy at how it handles misconduct - and in Greitens’ case, could have resulted in the former governor facing charges for rape or sexual assault under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
