(From the Diamond R-4 School District)Please help us congratulate and welcome Mrs. Kennedy as our new 6-12 Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach for the 2023-2024 School Year!
Hi Wildcat Nation!
My name is Alyssa Kennedy and I’m honored to have the opportunity to join the Diamond School District as Middle & High School Assistant Principal/Dean of Students & Instructional Coach for the 2023-2024 school year!
I am originally from Ozark, MO and have spent the last 12 years in education serving in multiple roles both as a science teacher and head coach in multiple sports.
Currently, I am an Instructional Technology Coach for grades 7-12 in the Aurora R-8 School District. I graduated from Drury University with my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Secondary Education. I earned my Master’s from Lindenwood University in Curriculum and Instruction and my Specialist in Education from Arkansas State University in Educational Leadership. I will complete my Doctorate in Educational Leadership this summer from Liberty University.
My husband, Chris, and I live in Monett with our son Mason who turns 5 in May and is excited to be a Diamond Wildcat kindergartner this fall! I am also blessed to be a bonus mom to four Cassville Wildcats- Audrey & Taylor are 14 and Jace & Jett are 8. The true boss in our house is our 3 year old corgi, KoKo!
In my free time, I enjoy all sports- we’re huge Kansas City Chiefs, Duke Blue Devils, and St. Louis Cardinals fans! I also enjoy reading and spending time watching my kids in all of their activities. Our family is overjoyed to join the Diamond community and I cannot wait to serve and lead our students and staff next year!
