The MO Constitution requires the legislature to pass a budget. Recently, the House passed the budget. The Senate is expected to discuss the budget in the Appropriations committee early this week.
SAFE Act
The House leaders told me that the bill’s final vote will be held up until certain House bills are passed by the Senate. This is a “game” played nearly every year in the legislature. It’s a risky proposition because you just never know what might happen in the last weeks of session.
HB 419 is similar to Senate Bill 49. It could be referred to a committee and heard soon. It’s a good bill – intended to protect minors from experimental drugs and transition surgery, too.

I admit, it’s not easy when the attacks come. I’ve come to realize, though, the reason, the liberal attacks are so vicious, is to intimidate to the point where we give in and eventually give up. I imagine that it would be much easier to retire to my farm and forget about the future of our kids and country. But, I just can’t stop standing in the gap for those who have entrusted me with their confidence (and loaned me their authority for a short time) to represent them.
