The Joplin Police Department and members of fallen officer Ben Cooper's family visited Cox Monett today to present Courtney Pfitzner, RN, with a plaque of appreciation.
On March 8, 2022, Courtney ran into danger to help a wounded officer. She assisted the officer using her expert nursing skills and consoled and comforted him with her sweet voice before he was whisked away in an ambulance.
A hero wearing a badge received his wings that day knowing he was loved by an angel.
