Anderson man faces charges following repeated profane 911 calls, resisting arrest

An Anderson man faces misdemeanor charges of misuse of 911, assault (two counts), property damage and resisting arrest in McDonald County Circuit Court following a series of profane calls to the emergency dispatcher Monday.

According to the probable cause statement, Dudley Robonei called 911 and would not say why he was calling, but instead kept saying "f--k you" to the dispatcher and calling the dispatcher a motherf--ker.

Two more calls came from the same person, the probable cause statement said, with Robonei saying he had a gun on the third call.

From the probable cause statement:

Officers arrived at the address of and located Robonei on the railroad tracks just to the south. Robonei, when he saw the officers took off running south bound on the tracks back towards (address redacted)

Officers pursued Robonei down the railroad tracks and down through the creek bed all the way back to the address of where Robonei ran into apartment 11. Officers surrounded and fearing Robonei to be armed and dangerous at this time entered the residence where they located Robonei in the bedroom.

Robonei was taken into custody and searched for officer safety. Robonei stated that he called 911 because he was mad about being taken to the hospital for a 96-hour mental evaluation hold the previous day by an officer in Pineville after being released from jail on previous charges.

Robonei stated that he called 911 and cursed at them because when he called 911 dispatch sent an officer, so it was their fault as well. Robonei stated he called today in order to get the police to respond to his location.

Robonei stated that he stated he had a gun because he was mad at the police. Robonei stated that he ran because he wanted the police to chase him and he wanted to fight with them. Robonei was then transported to the McDonald County Detention Center where he continued to curse and yell at officers and jailers.

The property damage charge and second assault stemmed from the earlier incident in Pineville.
