(From the Joplin Police Department)Joplin’s new Police Chief Richard Pearson will start his service with the Joplin Police Department on Monday, December 18. His day will start with an Official Swearing-In Ceremony as the Chief, conducted by Joplin City Clerk Holly Nagy.
Monday’s ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. in City Council Chambers of City Hall, 602 S. Main Street. City officials will join the Police Command Staff and other City employees to welcome Pearson to the City organization. The public is invited to attend and welcome Joplin’s new Chief.
Pearson recently served as Captain of the Jefferson County Public School System Police Department in Louisville, Ky. He served 22 years in the Louisville Metro Police Department and taught in the Criminal Justice Department of Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, IN.
He holds a Master of Science and a bachelor’s degree in justice administration from the University of Louisville. He graduated from the FBI’s National Police Academy in Quantico, VA, and the Southern Police Institute in Louisville. He is currently finishing his Doctorate in Criminal Justice at Saint Leo University in St. Leo, FL.

I hope he is here to clean this cesspool up. Hopefully the prosecuters will get on board and get tough too. This used to be a great place to live .

I don't remember deleting any comment like that and I can't remember Google ever deleting any comments. I apologize for it happening. Feel free to post it again and I will make sure it gets on.
