The preliminary hearing for a Goodman man charged with driving while intoxicated involving a death is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday in Newton County Circuit Court.
David Scott Vineyard, 48, was allegedly driving drunk September 7, 2022 when he cut through the parking lot behind The Beverage Shoppe on Neosho Boulevard, and entered the roadway into the path of two northbound vehicles.
Vineyard's car was struck by both of the vehicles.
According to the probable cause report, the crash resulted in a passenger being thrown from the bed of Vineyard's truck. The passenger was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
