Connie Jean Hendrix (DOB 1979) was bound over for trial after waiving her preliminary hearing today in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Hendrix is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property and unlawful use of a weapon (possessing a weapon and a felony controlled substance).
Her next hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. February 26 in Division III.
According to the probable cause statement, after Hendrix was stopped for traffic violations and consented to a search December 3, a Carthage Police Department detective found two baggies with 3.8 grams of methamphetamine, "a scale, snort straw, broken glass pipe, 44 small baggies (which all contained a white, powdery residue) and 33 tramadol."
The statement noted that Hendrix is "a convicted felon in multiple states."
During her interrogation, Hendrix said she bought the gun a week earlier and knew it had been stolen. The gun had been reported stolen to the Carthage Police Department November 17.
