Sentencing hearing set for Joplin man on child pornography charges

A sentencing hearing for a Joplin man who pleaded guilty to child pornography charges September 25 will be held 2 p.m. March 11 in U. S. District Court in Springfield.

According to the indictment, Shawn Ryan Valentine, 35, received and distributed child pornography between April 28, 2022 and April 27, 2023 in Jasper County.
