(From Seventh District Congressman Eric Burlison)On Wednesday, the Oversight Committee voted to advance legislation to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress for failure to comply with a congressional subpoena.
As a member of the Oversight Committee, I have seen the evidence for myself, which shows that President Biden knew of, participated in, and benefited from his family cashing in on the Biden name.
All the while, Joe, Hunter, and the entire family have played up the theatrics to distract from their corruption.
Not only did Hunter Biden fail to appear before the committee for a closed-door deposition but he also made a mockery of the Oversight Committee by appearing and then quickly leaving when we took up the resolution.
Following the Committee’s vote this week Hunter’s attorney has indicated that he may now be willing to come in for a deposition. Stay tuned for updates.
