Dylan Wayne Bowlsby, 26, Joplin, was bound over for trial on a statutory sodomy charge after waiving his preliminary hearing today in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Judge Nicole Marie Carlton denied a motion to have Bowlsby's $250,000 cash-only bond reduced.
Bowlby allegedly committed statutory sodomy on a 14-year-old rural Carthage girl August 29.
According to the probable cause statement, Dylan Wayne Bowlsby, 26, forcibly pushed the girl to the bed, pulled her pants down and sodomized her, as she yelled for him to stop.
The statement indicated the girl suffered a small tear
The case was investigated by the Jasper County Sheriff's Office.
Bowlsby's first trial court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. February 10.
