House passes federal minium wage hike; Blunt votes no

The House, by a vote of 315 to 116 Wednesday, approved increasing the federal minimum wage to $7.25 per hour. Eighty-two Republicans voted for the increase, but not Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt:

"The last thing Congress should do is pass legislation that imposes an unfunded mandate on small businesses that employ millions of American workers and are the backbone of our economy."

These dirt bag Repugs should all be put on minimum wage. They are without a doubt the most overpaid bunch of thugs this country has seen. They are consistently against anything that is good for the less fortunate and the poor. Perhaps someday they will meet their maker, and be left outside the main gate.

I could have sworn that in the past few months Blunt was quoted by the media as being in favor of a minimum wage hike. Gonna research it. I do know that just prior to the election state Sen Norma Champion said at a League of Women Voters forum that she favored a Federal minimum wage hike. But knowing Aunt Norma, she was probably skirting a question.
