A new judge will be assigned to the case of accused Memorial Middle School shooter Thomas Gregory White.
According to Jasper County Circuit Court records, White's attorney, Brett Meeker, filed the request for the change of judge earlier today and it was granted by Judge Richard Copeland.
The preliminary hearing for White, 14, formerly a seventh grader at Memorial, is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17.
