My former editor at the Newton County News way back in 1980 is working hard to make his latest project, the River Hills Traveler magazine, a success.
After a long stint as publisher of the Mount Pleasant News in Iowa, Styron bought the magazine last year, as reported in the Sept. 30, 2006 Turner Report.
Emery has started a blog on the magazine website with the express purpose of having "a discussion and information source on environmental, river, lake and recreational issues for Traveler Country and Missouri."
I am adding Emery's blog to the links list on the right side of this page, along with these sites:
-City of Joplin
-The Blog from Independence
-Jacke Hammer
-All That You Love and All That You Hate
Plus, two blogs return to the links area- Granny Geek and Branson Blue Hair.
With seven websites and blogs joining the list, a few needed to be pruned.
One, of course, is KC Buzz Blog, which had its last post a few days ago. Others I am removing are Area 417, Jericho's Journal, the Nevada Daily Mail, Room 210 for Teachers, though I would be happy to restore Jericho's Journal and Room 210 for Teachers if regular posts ever take place on those sites (and since I have been putting more effort into the Room 210 News and Room 210 Discussion sites, I am not anticipating any regular effort on the latter).
