Campaign contributors pay Richard's NRA dues

Though he is certainly making enough money to cover the costs, documents filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission show Sen. Ron Richard, R-Joplin, used his campaign money to cover his $35 dues payment to the National Rifle Association.

Richard received $5,000, all from Leggett & Platt, during the last quarter, and has $205,324.71 in his bank account, according to the report.

Richard spent $15,608.43, including the NRA dues payment.

Explain how that has anything to do with campaigning. The least he can do is pay his own dues. Is that not using it for personal reasons? Is it any different than paying any of his personal bills? Our congressmen get way to many perks.
