Turner Report readers say politicians should not receive gifts from lobbyists

Seventy-six percent of Turner Report readers think politicians have no business accepting gifts from lobbyists.

The poll, which closed at midnight, came on the heels of reporting in this blog over the weekend that showed Sen. Shalonn "Kiki" Curls, D-Kansas City, accepted more than $7,500 in gifts in 2012 and Senate President Pro Tem Tom Dempsey, R-St. Charles County, has received more than $23,000 in gifts during his time in the Senate.

How about you polling the individual legislators in SW Missouri asking them, " Should all gifts from lobbysists to elected officials be banned?"

A coordinated effort of the Plague of Women Vulters (er.Leage of Women Voters, and other known plitical entities could perhaps get them to respond.

Be interesting to see how many of them will respond? I'm Betting Ron Richard would be a no-show on the response.
