Will the 17th time be the charm for Barton County Memorial Hospital embezzler?

The last time The Turner Report wrote about the subject, Barton County Memorial Hospital embezzler Kim Schlup had received her 13th continuance and had yet to attend a payment review hearing concerning the $100,085 she stole from the hospital during her tenure as its finance director.
Since then, she has postponed the hearing three more times, making it 16 continuances. The payment review hearing is now scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 7 in Cedar County Circuit Court, where it was sent on a change of venue from Barton County.
Court records do not indicate she has paid a cent since her sentencing on March 27, 2006.
Ms. Schlup spent four months in prison as shock time and then was released. She is required to repay the $100,085.

So what is this telling society?
You can embezzle anything you want to and all you have to do is a little shock time?
WOW I think I would spend some shock time to get paid $100K!!!

That just amazes me. I'd love for someone to explain how that can happen!!
I agree with the first post on this....maybe 120 days in a minimum security prison would be worth it for 100K!
It's no wonder people embezzle money!

And how much do you think the taxpayers have had to pay for a public defender for 17 continuations? Unless she has her own attorney. 100k should get her one :D

In all seriousness does the hospital not care about getting theit money paid back I think they could put a stop to this foolishness.Kim walks around her job bragging about writing a book and talking about how much of a christian she is.what a hipocrit. It should be mandatory that she attend the payment hearing.
