No arrests have been made as yet, Copeland said, but he confirmed it the death is now a homicide investigation.
“But I don’t want the public to think there is a murderer out there we don’t know about,” Copeland said.

Sheriff's Department zeroing in on suspect in Rowan Ford murder
Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland indicated today his department is zeroing in on the person or persons who killed nine-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella, whose body was discovered in a McDonald County mineshaft earlier today:
