The Fairport, N.Y.-based publisher posted revenue of $163.4 million for the quarter, up from $97.6 million a year ago.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose to $40.1 million from $20.2 million.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial was for a per-share profit of 2 cents on revenue of $169.4 million.
The stock closed the regular session up 35 cents, or about 3%, at $11.75.
